Argonaut High School Drama presents A Chhristmas Carol

Argonaut High School Drama presents A Chhristmas Carol

Argonaut Drama Presents a Holiday Benefit and 7th Annual Recorded-Live Broadcast of A Christmas Carol on KVGC Hometown Radio

Hearkening back to the "good old days," when families gathered around the radio for their evening's entertainment, the Drama Department of Argonaut High School is joining forces with Hometown Radio to broadcast a recorded-live performance of A Christmas Carol.  The holiday classic will be performed in front of a live audience on Friday night, December 22, in the Multi-Purpose Room of Argonaut High School, then broadcast Christmas Eve at 3pm on KVGC 1340 AM, 96.5 FM, and online at kvgcradio.com

The Friday night performance is only one part of the evening's family-friendly festivities, guaranteed to get everyone into the holiday spirit.  Doors open at 5:30 pm for a spaghetti dinner, complete with salad and french bread. Also featured is a dessert auction and a 50/50 raffle; the radio show will begin promptly at 7pm:  a one-hour dramatization of Charles Dickens' classic tale, including a specially crafted music score and live sound effects performed by the students.

The cast features Joshua Whaling as Ebenezer Scrooge, Vanessa O'Brien as the Narrator, Christian Dabler as Jacob Marley, Charlene Chiero as the Ghost of Christmas Past, Daniel Maysee as the Ghost of Christmas Present, Mitchell DuBoise as Bob Cratchit, Ashlyn Frost as Mrs. Cratchit, Charity Goldsmith-Ding as Belle, Wyatt Calestini as Fred, Karlie Stein as Kate, Chloe Hattan as Tiny Tim, and Alexia Wheeler as Fan, with Advanced and Beginning Drama students rounding out the ensemble.

Ticket prices for dinner and the show are only $12.50 when purchased by December 18, $17.50 at the door. Children aged 4-10 are $7.50. Because of the nature of the performance, children younger than 4 are not recommended. To purchase tickets, see any Drama student, or print out the Ticket Order Form (found on www.ArgonautDrama.com), which may be dropped off at the school. For more information, contact Mrs. Flint at dflint@acusd.org. Donations are also welcome and may be tax-deductible.
